New Brunswick Development Officers Association – 2019 AGM and Learning Event

The 2019 Annual General Meeting and Learning Event of the New Brunswick Development Officers Association held at the Rodd Miramichi River (https://roddvacations.com/hotels/rodd-miramichi-river/) on September 23 and 24, 2019 were a success. We would like to thank the Rodd Miramichi River Hotel for its good service, all the participants for their presence and participation, and the presenters for their presentation, all very interesting.

Day 1 Topics

DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENT AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT

The presentation will focus on various topics related to land use planning and development in the province including an update on changes in the Provincial and Community Planning Branch at the Department, potentially new legislation and policy direction, directive on cannabis production facilities, circulation of tentative subdivision plans, working group on minimum planning standards and the status of land use planning and development in the province.

Basics of Condominiums, different type of condominiums and registration requirements.

Day 2 Topics

PRAC/PAC ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This session will offer an overview of the roles and responsibilities of the Regional Service Commissions’ Planning Review and Adjustment Committees (PRAC) and municipalities’ Planning Advisory Committees (PAC). The presenters will explain the committees’ authority as established by New Brunswick’s Community Planning Act.
